Small Biz End of Month Finance Checklist

• pay bills and credit cards
• follow up on any unpaid customers/clients
• categorize all transactions
  • done through an accounting software (like Xero or Quickbooks Online) or using a spreadsheet (we sell a DIY Bookkeeping Template - here)
•  reconcile your books to your bank statements
  • print out your bank statements (checking, savings, credit cards, payment processor, etc) and go through each transaction to ensure it was accounted for
  • if using an accounting software, ensure the ending balances tie out
• collect and organize receipts
• set aside money for taxes
  • general recommendation is setting aside 15-30% of your profit 
• review profit & loss statement
• plan out next month
  • budget, goals, tasks, etc.
